Dear Voyager Community,

Reflection is one of our core values at Voyager as we use past experiences to guide future decision making. As educators we utilize data in so many ways to plan for instruction and help foster growth for our students and our school to continuously improve. When I reflect on my time at Voyager this year the word that comes to mind most for me is community. I am so grateful for our caring and connected community.  The joy and wonder I see in our students, the creativity, dedication, and innovation I see in our teachers, the guidance and support from our school leaders, and the warmth and caring involvement of our parents that volunteer make our school community so very special. I am thankful and honored to partner with all of you to enrich the lives of our students and inspire life-long learning in every Viking.

Dear Voyager Community,

What a fabulous week on campus filled with active learning. The National Honor Society (NHS) induction was held on Tuesday night outside under beautiful blue skies. Forty-two new students were inducted into NHS and recognized for their service, leadership, character, and scholarship.  We are so very proud of our Vikings for their achievement!

Hi all,

It’s been a short week at the middle school but a very busy week.  Academics continue to be our main focus as we also gear up for our next round of sports - girls’ basketball and boys’ basketball!  If your student is on the team, please remind the player that grades continue to be a priority.  We will review report cards after the second quarter to see if students are meeting the standard of a 70 or at least improvement in his/her grades and we will also check PowerSchool throughout the quarter.   If you have a question, please talk to Coach Jackson (girls) or Coach Ryan (boys).

From the Voyager Academy Managing Director, Nov. 5, 2021

Dear Voyager Community,

It’s been another exciting and very chilly week on campus. High School students continue to prepare for college and career readiness with a rigorous academic program and multiple clubs, athletics, and arts to enrich their experiences.  Students also had the opportunity to take the pre ACT this week to measure their academic readiness.  Middle School students are finishing their NC Check Ins and our elementary students are busy preparing for upcoming project celebrations on our community and cultures around the world. We can’t wait for the upcoming 2nd grade cultural parade next week. The OCS students planted hyacinth bulbs in the garden to prepare for a spring flower sale. We look forward to watching them grow and bloom.  We’re also very proud of our student athletes that have been competing in the state tournaments.  The athletics corner below has all the highlights. Way to go Vikings!
