Voyager Academy Middle School News, October 28, 2018

Dear VAMS Families,

Wow, what a cold and rainy ending to a wonderful week!  Students have been busy working on projects, going on field trips, and completing NC Check-Ins, our new assessments.  The feedback from the students regarding NC Check Ins - “not as long”, “print is larger”, “not as many passages”, and “the math was easier than the reading”.  We should receive our reports next week or early the following week. Individual reports will be sent home and teachers will use their data to create MTSS groups.

Voyager Academy Middle School News, October 21, 2018

Dear VAMS Families,

Our week after Fall Break was a very productive one.  The students had much to share about their time away from school.  After all the sharing, we were back in the groove of teaching and learning.

Report Cards
Report cards were sent home Friday with our students.  If you did not receive your child’s report card, please check the book bag.  The report cards are for the first quarter. Please keep the report card and send the signed envelope back to the teacher.

Dear Viking Families,
We made it to Fall Break! We hope you all enjoy some time off with your family and friends! We do have a few activities on campus this week for Driver’s Ed, some sports and of course active construction. If you need to reach an administrator for any reason, please email us and we will get in touch.

Dear VAES Families,
Believe it or not, Fall Break (October 8 – 12) is here!!  I hope everyone has a safe and restful break!!

Voyager Academy Middle School News, October 7, 2018

Dear VAMS Families,

The first quarter at the middle school has been awesome.  I have been extremely impressed with our Viking Scholars. They come to school prepared and ready to learn.  Our students show much interest in our core values and often acknowledge students who are displaying one of the values - empathy, integrity, reflection, confidence, and curiosity. In addition to the academics and core values, we continue to discuss bullying.  Bullying is not acceptable at the middle school and if reported it is handled appropriately. Remember sometimes behaviors are mean behaviors rather than bullying!
