From the Managing Director's Desk, March 10, 2019

Dear Viking Families,
Important Message for ALL 11th grade students and parents: the ACT will now be administered on March 12th--this is a Teacher Workday, but all 11th grade students are still required to participate. We will start the test at 8:00am in the gym. Students will need to arrive by 7:45am.

CHECK OUT OUR BULL CITY LIGHTS!
At Manchester High School’s 30th annual Koste Classic in Midlothian, VA, we won the following awards:
> (The first 2 were awarded out of all choirs present all day—from any division):
> Trending Choir
> Best Female Soloist (Melody Wimberley, “River Deep Mountain High”)
> And for the Solo competition:
> 1st place: Reyna Alston for “Summertime”
> And 2nd runner up: Cylie Cabrera for “With Him”
> Both finalists got the opportunity to perform in front of the entire audience before awards—the crowd (no surprise!) loved them!!
We are incredibly  proud of these students & how hard they’ve worked! Next stop Ohio next weekend to compete in the Fairfield Crystal Classic...for updates from home as we travel to our next competition, find us on social media: Twitter: @VoyagerBCL Facebook: @VikingsChorus

Voyager Academy Elementary School News, March 10, 2019

Dear VAES Families,
We have had a busy week at VAES!  On Thursday, in the VAES gym, we conducted our 13th annual lottery for admission into Voyager Academy.  We were joined by the Middle School Principal, Gwen Johnson, and the MS Principal for the Day, Cannon Draughon.  Charter Success Partners has made the process significantly easier than it was 13 years ago when we had to put names in a metal “hopper” and draw and read out each name individually!  Technology is truly wonderful!!
