Voyager Academy Winter Storm Plan
As you may know, we are expecting inclement weather next week. Please click here for a message from the Voyager Academy Managing Director with information about our plan for the upcoming inclement weather.
There will be no school on Monday 1/26. The few days following Monday may be VAHS remote learning days. During those days VAHS remote learning will be either synchronous or asynchronous (see below). The VAHS community will be notified which.
Synchronous if no power outages are reported, live instruction via Google Meets)
Asynchronous if there are power outages, students complete given work on their own. Please click here for a description of asynchronous instruction, including how attendance is taken. In next week’s case it may be “tech free”, i.e. students are given packets to complete in case there is no internet.

New Drivers Ed Information
The next online class sessions for Driver's Ed will be held on the following dates and times.
The evening class will have capacity for 2 classes.
Students must be present for all class sessions (no exceptions) because NC State Law requires 30 hours of face-to-face instruction to receive credit for the course in addition to 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction to receive the certificate.
$45 fee is due at registration. You must pay to complete registration with a debit or credit card.
DRIVERS ED: Non-DPS Student Registration & Class Information
To enroll in the Drivers Education class, a student will need to have a personal gmail email account (not a school account). If the student does not already have one, it is very advantageous to set this up a personal gmail account prior to registration.
More information can be found at: https://www.dpsnc.net/o/dps/page/non-dps-student-registration
