Voyager Academy Athletics News, March 3, 2019


The Winter Season is coming to close, but we have a lot of great results and effort to celebrate.  

Beginning with the Middle School.  Both the boys and girls basketball team capture regular season conference championships and advanced to the final game of the CCMS conference tournament.  The girl's team fell just short in the final game finishing the year with a 14-2 record, while the boy's team finished off a perfect 16-0 season winning the CCMS Tournament Championship.  Congratulations to our student-athletes, coaches, and parents on a great middle school basketball season.

Spring Break Camp 2019 

Are you looking for a fun, innovative camp to send your child(ren) to? Send them to Voyager! Our camps are full with math, science, and reading enrichment activities. Students will enjoy activities like jeopardy, fun-math relay, and writing/performing a play for their camp peers. Students even have the opportunity to be junior chefs during our cooking activity. (Yes, they will cook)! This year, we will also enjoy a field trip to Palace Pointe in Roxboro, NC! This camp IS open to school-aged students who do not attend Voyager. Visit our website to register!

I can’t say enough thanks to Mr. Eisenson and Mrs. McKenna for their hard work and coordination and all the students in MS student council and all their many volunteers. Voyager Academy Elementary School News, February 24, 2019


Dear VAES Families,

On Friday, our Kindergarteners had their Animals Project Celebration.  Wow!!!
Our Kindergarten students demonstrated their ability to compare and contrast different types of the same animal by studying various sub-groups of that animal.  Students were broken into animal subgroups within their classrooms to become experts on an animal they chose.  The animals studied were: Bears, Birds, Cats, Dogs, & Lizards. They displayed this knowledge as “experts” in small groups by teaching families and other students about the animals they researched and studied and how their specific animal was alike or different from others in that animal family.  I loved how each class showed the steps and the processes that went into their project!  It truly brings me such joy to see the excitement and the hard work demonstrated by each student and their teachers and teacher assistants. Bravo, Kindergarten!!

Short weeks are always very busy and productive.  This past week was no different. Our teachers wanted to get as much material taught as possible especially with two workdays and a delayed opening.  Our students came to school Wednesday ready to learn – even with a delayed opening! Booster Club Update

Mark your calendar for Sunday, April 7th!  Our annual Athletic Gold Tournament will be going on beginning with a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. at Hillandale Golf Course.  We are taking golfer registrations and sponsors at this time! One player is $50.00, 2 person teams are $90.00 and 4 person teams are $175.  All players fees cover cart,  breakfast and lunch.  There will be a 50/50 raffle, prizes and tons of fun.  Please contact Deuce Harris at dharris@voyageracademy.net or Shelley Brown at attorneybrown2014@gmail.com for more information and entry signups.
