From the Voyager Academy Managing Director, May 6, 2018

Dear Viking Families,
As we near the end of the year, we have many things to celebrate and share. First, thanks to everyone who came out for spring fling and supported our school and a fun family night! Our middle school soccer girls are CHAMPIONS and our Viking Affinity won their show choir again!

Vocal Affinity won 1st place with a rating of “Excellent” in show choir division AND 3rd place in concert choir, also with a rating of “Excellent”!!

A special congratulations to our high school athlete Julia Chorosevic,

Help us as we continue to grow our technology and digital programming:

Inspiring lifelong learning in every Viking.

Voyager Academy Vision Statement
We, at Voyager, work hard to “inspire lifelong learning in every Viking.” To prepare our students to be career ready, we have recently focused our attention on things like the creation of a Design/Maker Space, lessons and activities to encourage more technical Career Pathways, and additional classes in Computer Science and Computer Programming. In order to expand our career ready learning initiatives, we’ve realized that our vision is only attainable with community partnerships.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are applying for grants, bringing professionals into the classrooms to discuss their professions, and looking into other Career and Technical Education courses. Do you work for a company that could help? In an effort to strengthen and streamline our partnerships with community organizations, Voyager is piloting a “Partnership Database.”

We encourage you take a look at the form below to see if your company or business could potentially partner with Voyager. The information you provide will ONLY be used to help us align programs, provide letters of support, make referrals and communicate with our building principals, staff, about potential programs available to support their work.

Please contact Marina McKenna at mmckenna@voyageracademy.net with any questions regarding partnership. Thank you for supporting Voyager’s staff and students.

Don’t forget to sign up for your private Drivers Ed program here on campus June 4th! Attached to the newsletter is the registration form for any student 14 years old and older who wants to take Driver’s Ed.
