Parents of 10th - 12th graders are invited to the Fall 2018 Open House, at which parents will walk through an abbreviated student schedule, and have an opportunity to meet teachers, and learn more about their high schoolers’ classes.

There is also an optional 5:30-5:50 informational session in the Gym about the 11 Principles of Character Education, framework adopted by Voyager Academy grades 4-12. Please click here for details about the Open House.
Also, feel free to have dinner while at the Open House! We will have a great food truck on campus again this year.  See below for the menu…

Freshmen Orientation a huge success
Thanks to all who came out, helped out, or helped make 9th Grade Orientation possible!  We had a great time! More than half the 9th graders attended and the survey results are in!  They loved it! We are now polling teachers about the new 9th graders and the reviews are extremely good as well.  Thank you to everyone for making the weekend such a success!

WE ESPECIALLY THANK MR. MILLS, WHOSE
ENERGY AND VISION MADE IT ALL HAPPEN!

What do college admissions, fun, and personal growth have in common?
The Yucatan. Next summer Dr. Bankhead will lead a service trip to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. It is a beautiful area filled with crystalline coastlines, jungles, Mayan ruins, and friendly people. We will travel, go to beaches, visit archaeological sites, learn, and, of course, have fun, but we will also work with the Yucatan orphan population in various ways to improve their lives and enrich ours. Please help your child take advantage of this valuable opportunity. (Experience with the Spanish language is not required.) There will be an introductory meeting on Wednesday, August 22, at 6:30 in Dr. Bankhead's classroom (E141).

PARENTS:  Are You Interested in Participating or Donating to a Silent Auction?
There will be a K-12  Silent Auction interest meeting in Mr. Eisenson's 8th grade classroom on 8/16 at 5:30 pm. He is trying to set up a silent auction to bring funds to our three schools, but can't do it alone.  His goal is to have this Silent Auction off campus in November. I would have students write persuasive letters to the community to try and get donations for the auction. He would need parents to help get donations, secure a location, and help run the auction.   Again if you are interested and able to volunteer, he would love to chat on 8/16 at 5:30 pm in his classroom. Thanks.

Questions? Contact Mr. Eisenson at aeisenson@voyageracademy.net
