Voyager Academy Middle School News, December 9, 2018

Dear VAMS Families,

As we continue to hear about the snowstorm, I hope all of you are warm and safe. Waiting to see what the storm brings can certainly create lots of anxiousness. If there is snow, hopefully, the children can enjoy some sledding!

Students who were part of the Fall Play were outstanding as they performed at the Durham Arts Council on Thursday and Friday evenings.  The students performed “Aesop’s Musical Foibles.” The choir and the performers worked hard to share the fun show with us. If you missed it, you missed a fun evening!  Great job by all!

The Giving Tree – THANKS to all of you who selected a tag from our Giving Tree.  The tags quickly disappeared. We have received some of the gifts and we thank you. If you selected a tag, please make your purchase and bring the gift to the middle school no later than Friday, Dec. 14. Return the unwrapped gift with the tag taped to the gift. Again, thanks so much for supporting others!

Pennies for Pender - During the month of January, we will collect pennies, as well as, other coins for Pender County School District.  Once our collection is over, we will cash in the coins and purchase a gift card.  The gift card will be sent to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum so she can purchase supplies that are needed for students and/or teachers.
