Voyager Academy Middle School News, April 28, 2019

Dear VAMS Families,

Although it was only a four-day week, it’s been a very busy week! Our softball, baseball, soccer, and tennis teams were very busy this week.  They were also very successful! Tournament play begins the end of next week. Our 4th graders had a terrific field trip to the Science Center in Greensboro on Wednesday and our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders had a social/dance on Friday afternoon.  In addition to all the activities, our teachers continued teaching and our students continued learning!

Mr. Jim Husk was nominated for the Servant’s Heart Award given by Civitan International - Triangle Luncheon Civitan Club.  This is the first year of the award. The award is a celebration of an unsung hero in the community who supports families and individuals who are affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Mr. Husk is an Exceptional Children’s teacher at the middle school and does an outstanding job with our students. Congratulations, Mr. Husk! You are so deserving of this award. Thank you, Ingrid Conley, for recognizing the support Mr. Husk provides students and nominating him for this honor.
