Also, thank you to all the students that participated in our K-3 Yearbook Cover Contest. Five submissions were chosen as finalists. The finalists are Shreya Pani, Samantha Ashdown, Sutton Henrikson, Yunah Park, and Taylor Cuthriell. From these finalist entries, Taylor Cuthriell's artwork was then chosen to be the 2017-18 VAES Yearbook Cover!!! As the cover winner, Taylor will also receive 1 free copy of the yearbook.
As a way to meet the needs of our students, the VAES counseling department (Melissa Meckes and Scott Tribotte) would like to invite you to provide your feedback. Our goal is to raise $25,000! We’re excited to raise funds for Kindergarten playground turf, recess equipment, and technology! Family and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps (30-35 laps) your student will run on the day of the Fun Run on 11/9. Students will also experience an amazing character theme, CASTLE QUEST! It is an English castle theme all about being brave and having good character traits. On their quest to regain Bravemore Castle, students will learn the “SIX VIRTUES of a TRUE HERO” from a cast of colorful characters.
