Voyager Academy Elementary School News, April 29, 2018

Dear VAES Families and Staff,

The VAES Field Day has been postponed until Tuesday, May 1st due to the field being extremely wet and the prediction of more rain on Friday.  Please sign-up to help K & 1st from 8:30 – 11:00 AM and 2nd & 3rd from 11:30 – 2:30 PM.
We know that the change may be difficult for some of our working parent volunteers, so it is very important that if you are available on Tuesday, please volunteer to help!! We really need your help in order to have Field Day!!! It is always a fun day with the students and staff!!  Please sign up to help TODAY!!!

We had two fabulous project celebrations this week!  The First Grade Earth Day project asked two important questions:  What effect do we, as humans, have on our environment (our earth)? and How can we help make our community a cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful place to live? Second Grade studied weather and learned how weather changes throughout the seasons and how they could share that information with the community through research, art, and literature.  I am truly so proud of all the hard work from our 1st and 2nd grade students and staff!!
