We welcomed in thirty-six new members, many from the first ever 10th grade induction class. We also invited our thirty-nine current members to reaffirm their commitment to the NHS. A small reception was held afterwards in the commons where the new members were able to speak with current members and share ideas for new service projects. I would like to send out a special thank you to the NHS officers, Katerina Lamm, Layne Christensen, Devan Desai, and Lama Khachab for all their hard work this year. Also special thanks go out to John Paynter (NHS Senior) for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Abdallah Abumuais (NHS Senior) for presenting in the vice president's absence. AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE ABOUT STUDENT HEALTH

As you may or may not be aware, “vaping” and/or "juuling"(the use of E-cigarettes) has become an unhealthy trend among children and young adults, from middle through high school nationwide.  As the safety and health of our students is a top priority at VAHS, all students received a presentation on Feb. 13th about the effects of this unhealthy activity, as well as the Voyager Academy consequences.

To see the presentation that the students received, please click here.  Parents/guardians are encouraged to reinforce this very important message at home.

As always, thank you so much for your continued support.
