From the Voyager Academy Managing Director, May 28, 2021

 Dear Voyager Community,

The final week of school for students was a celebration of their accomplishments.  The 8th grade team celebrated with awards, highlights, and a video reflection of the year in review.  Our seniors closed out their final week at Voyager with a drive in awards ceremony followed by a parade through campus with all elementary and middle school students cheering for them.  It was truly magical.

Voyager Academy Middle School News, May 28, 2021

Wow, I cannot believe that school is out for the summer!  Even with all the bumps in the road, this was a great year!  We had lots of learning take place, several projects created, learned lots about technology along with a variety of strategies to support our students.  One is never too old to learn and it is never too late to make changes for the good of our students.

Dear Voyager Community,

We are in the home stretch with only one week left to the school year. Our students have worked hard and are finishing strong with all their end of year projects, assignments, and tests. We are all so proud of their effort, perseverance, and resilience during the 20-21 school year.  Thank you to our parents and guardians who have supported our staff and your children during all the transitions throughout the year.  Next week is a short week for students and the last day of the school year is Wednesday, May 26, 2021.  Please remember that there is an early dismissal on the last day of school.  We are all looking forward to celebrating our seniors at Graduation which will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Dear Voyager Community,

I can’t believe there are only two weeks left to the 20-21 school year. Our students and staff have been working hard to finish strong this year.  This week our 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders took End of Grade Tests.  Our students came in ready and stayed focused to do their best.  Next week, testing will continue for our 5th, 7th, and 8th grade students. High School exams also begin next week.  The principal newsletters have additional exam schedule details. Please make sure your child is well rested and has a healthy breakfast on test day so they can perform their best.

Dear Voyager Community,

Thank you to all the families and students that provided food, treats, notes, and gifts to our entire teaching team during Staff Appreciation Week.  We are all very grateful for your support and appreciation. The Voyager community is truly special!

This has been another action packed week of learning for our students.  The elementary students all participated in an innovative educational outdoor walk and learn program around campus.  These activities allowed students to learn Spanish and French, challenge themselves with math riddles, participate in mindfulness, do yoga, take a sensory walk, and create music at the sound garden to name just a few of the interesting stops. We are thankful for the partnership with Ms. Clark Stover’s high school art classes for the design of the sensory walk.  It was truly amazing to see the collaboration between schools and the talent from our high school artists. The fourth and fifth grade middle school students also had two wonderful project celebrations this week.  Our Vikings did a fabulous job demonstrating their knowledge of famous North Carolinians with their North Carolina Sweet Potato project and their understanding of history with their American Revolution project celebration.
