Good Afternoon Viking Families,


We are closely monitoring news and updates regarding the coronavirus and its potential impact locally. Please refer to the message sent out yesterday related to contact information for state-wide and national updates or alerts. As you are aware, each week, more information is available, and recommendations are changing. To be as proactive as possible, we are taking the following steps to ensure the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff.  We also heard form a lead representative from our middle school “disease team” at our Board meeting on Thursday and got some great ideas from our students! To that end, we are planning to supply our buildings with additional cleaning and protective products. We are accepting donations from parents for hand sanitizers, bottles of Lysol and paper products. Please feel free to send these items with your child or drop them off at the front desk of your student’s building.  A few items of note:

Hello All!

Information for Next Year’s Incoming Kindergarten Students:  
Next year’s kindergarten students will have the chance to experience and prepare for school with Voyager’s kindergarten teachers by attending the Kindergarten Prep Camp.  Campers will have a chance to boost basic academic skills while bonding with other incoming kindergarteners and meeting some of the teachers. This is a great camp for new Vikings who might be feeling a little nervous about their upcoming school adventure, or those who just can’t for the official first day!  Listed below are the dates and sessions:

It’s hard to believe we have finished the month of February and  school will begin the month of March on Monday! We have 3 months of school before the end of the year and we have much to do!  Thanks to all of you who make getting to school on time a priority. It really does make a difference.

Our winter sports seasons have come to a close this week. We are very proud of all of our winter sport student athletes!  From our high school girls and boys basketball teams and cheerleaders, our wrestling team, and swimming team. As well as our middle school boys and girls basketball teams and cheerleaders.  They have worked very hard and represented Voyager Academy in a way that makes us proud!

Voyager Academy Science Olympiad News, March 1, 2020


The Voyager Academy Middle School Science Olympiad team put on a strong performance at the regional tournament on Saturday, February 29. The Varsity team took 2nd place overall and will move on to compete in the state tournament at NC State on April 25.
