Dear Viking Families,

We hope you have enjoyed your weekend and look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. It was a great week on campus and our middle school kids had a BLAST at their fall dance! Thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible for them!  Winter sports are in session so make sure you check out the schedules below and watch our Vikings play!  The calendar for the 2018 and 2019 school year will be presented to the Board for final approval on December 7^th and it will be posted for you after. Thanks for your patience as we work out a few final kinks and get ready for a great year next year as well!

Dear VAES Families,

As we enter the season of thanksgiving, I wanted to highlight some of the wonderful ways we are teaching and reinforcing our empathy initiative. 

Earlier this week, I heard from the principal at Smith Academy in Houston, Texas.  We collected gift cards for them after Hurricane Harvey.  Here is his message to our Voyager family: “Smith Academy in Houston, Texas is grateful for your amazing demonstration of kindness to help our families impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Your efforts will go a long in helping those impacted by floods to return to their homes. Thank you!”

Dear VAMS Families,

Wow, if you were not at the NC School of Math and Science on Thursday night, you missed a terrific performance.  The middle school and high school music departments provided an evening of entertainment and it awesome.  Both schools have incredibly talented students.  I was certainly proud of the middle school students as well as the high school students.

There is lots of information for this week!

We are having a 7th-8th grade dance on Friday, December 1st from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Admissions is $5 and concessions will be available for sale. Please send $1 bills for concessions. The money raised will be used by the PTO Board to support a worthy cause.
