From the Managing Directors Desk, Nov. 19, 2017

Dear Viking Families,

We hope you have enjoyed your weekend and look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. It was a great week on campus and our middle school kids had a BLAST at their fall dance! Thanks to everyone who helped make this event possible for them!  Winter sports are in session so make sure you check out the schedules below and watch our Vikings play!  The calendar for the 2018 and 2019 school year will be presented to the Board for final approval on December 7th and it will be posted for you after. Thanks for your patience as we work out a few final kinks and get ready for a great year next year as well!

Our final report card should be posted live by the end of November when the state confirms we have permission to share. We showed lots of progress again and we are very proud of the growth in our students and thank our staff for their continued hard work and commitment to our students.  Thanks as always for all you do and we look forward to seeing you at the next celebrations!

On Monday, December 4th from 5:00 – 7:00 in the High School Commons Room, the Voyager High School Music department, will have a BBQ fundraiser to raise funds for the National Show Choir competition trip to Orlando. We are selling BBQ by the pound for $9.00 and BBQ plates for $9.00. We have partnered with Smithfield’s Chicken and BBQ for their delicious sides and hush-puppies and appreciate their generous support of this fundraiser.

By the Plate
By the Pound
(16 oz  container)
BBQ Pork with Coleslaw , Potato Salad and Hushpuppies - $9.00
BBQ Pork - $9.00
Coleslaw or Potato Salad - $5.00 each

If you would like to pre-order and pay for the BBQ, please follow this link. http://www.vafoa.org/
Pre-ordering through the website will be active Nov 15th -Nov 27th at 12noon…after that, you can try to buy a plate at the door. However, we strongly encourage pre-orders through the site.  We plan to sell plates at the door, but supplies will be limited and served on a first come first served basis- so order your plates today!

Again, you may pre-order your BBQ and either pick it up for take-out or dine-in at the High School Commons Room.  This is perfect, because there is a high school basketball game at home that night against the Australian teams.  You can eat dinner and then enjoy a fun and exciting basketball game!  This will be a great way to support our high school show choir and our high school basketball teams!!
