Come To PTSO Spirit Night For Dinner And Ice Cream

El Rodeo has agreed to partner with the PTSO and host a Spirit Night on Valentine's Day, Friday, 2/14. We also look forward to Spirit Nights at Localicious Caribbean Ice Cream on Monday, 3/31, and Goodberries on Friday, April 11. 


Here are those dates again:

2/14 Friday - Spirit Night at El Rodeo

3/31 Monday - Spirit Night at Caribbean Ice Cream

April 11 Friday - Spirit Night at Goodberries


Come on out and have fun and enjoy some great food and ice cream, all while supporting Voyager Academy!

SPIRIT WEEK at VAHS is the week of February 10th - 14th
We have dress up days and home basketball games!
Monday Feb 10th - Pajama Day
Tuesday Feb 11th - Country vs. Country Club
Wednesday Feb 12th - Heroes vs. Villians
Thursday Feb 13th - Favorite Sports Team Day
Friday Feb 14th - Secret Service Day

On Thursday, Feb 13th come support our basketball teams. JV plays at 5pm and Varsity plays at 6:30pm.

All 9th-12th graders and 5th graders are invited to participate and show your school spirit!

Free Community College Courses While At VAHS: Durham Tech. Career &College Promise Interest Meeting Dates Are Now Available 

Durham Tech's dual enrollment (https://www.durhamtech.edu/dual-enrollmen) is a unique educational opportunity that allows eligible 11th and 12th grade high school students to enroll in college-level courses while still attending high school. It offers a bridge between secondary and postsecondary education, giving students a taste of college life and academics before officially starting their higher education journey. Students can earn high school and college credits at the same time. Interest meeting dates for enrollment in the College and Career Promise (CCP) program are now live!

NC School of Science & Math Courses Offered 

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Connect program provides distance education courses to schools across the state. Voyager Academy HS is a participating partner school. Students in grades 9-12 take tuition-free, honors-level, and AP courses in STEM and humanities from NCSSM via interactive video conferencing. Please check the NCSSM Connect website or the flyer below for more information. Duke University Neuroscience Experience (DUNE)

Dive into the world of brain science this summer! Duke University Neuroscience Experience (DUNE) is a full-time, 8-week, paid summer research internship program for Durham high school students in grades 10 and 11. Participants perform hands-on experiments in neuroscience labs at Duke, engage in professional development and college prep activities, and receive a stipend and free lunch. We welcome students from diverse backgrounds to apply, including those without prior research experience! We are looking for students who are interested in exploring the mysteries of the brain, curious about a career in science or medicine, and eager to learn and grow.

Hey Seniors: The 2025–26 FAFSA Form Is Now Available

The 2025–26 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form is now available for all seniors and contributors. Seniors planning to attend college next year and their parent(s)/guardian(s) need to complete the form to apply for financial aid for college, career school. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the best ways to make the cost of college more manageable.
