Hello Viking Families!

It was a pleasure getting to see so many families, students and staff enjoying the night on Friday for Fall Festival and costume contest! The weather was perfect and out PTO did an amazing job. We are very thankful for these moments to just enjoy one another’s company and spend some time with each other.

Dear VAMS Families,

Field trips are not only lots of fun but great learning experiences. Our fourth graders study the regions of North Carolina. In order to learn first hand about one of the regions, our students took a trip to the mountains. They visited Linville Caverns as well as The Orchard at Altapass! The students enjoyed hearing mountain stories and apple facts, as they tasted the delicious apples. According to the students they had a great time learning about the mountain region of North Carolina.

The 7th/8th grade combo classes are delving into "Tona" animal spirit companions and making a paper-mache mask to show how that animal might be represented.
