Midterm Exams Are on 10/2 and 10/3
Midterm exams will take place on Wednesday 10/2 and Thursday 10/3. We will be on a regular bell schedule on those days. Friday 10/4 marks the end of the first half of the Fall semester. Report cards will be sent out on 10/17 with grades up to 10/4.

VAHS Penny Wars Are Back!
Brought to you by the VAHS Service Club…get Ready for the Annual Penny War Fundraiser! This is the annual competition between grade levels to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All next week, students can participate by contributing dollars and pennies to their grade-level jars, or silver coins to take away money from other grade level jars. Last year the class of 2025 won the war, but which grade level will win the 2024 Penny War? Look for a Service Club member next week with a grade level jar to earn bragging rights for your grade level!

NC Merit Scholarships Virtual Information Sessions
Five of North Carolina's premier merit scholarships are coming together to provide two virtual information sessions for students, parents, counselors and college advisors. During these sessions, program representatives will give an overview of each scholarship, discuss general scholarship search advice and hold a live Q&A to answer your questions.
The following programs will be represented:

Park Scholars - NC State University
Cheatham-White Scholarship Program - NC A&T
Brinkley-Lane Scholars - East Carolina University

The 9th Annual HBCU College Fair happening at Cary Academy on Sat, Sep 28, 2024 at 10:00 AM for a day filled with college exploration, information, and fun. This FREE event will feature representatives from various Historically Black Colleges and Universities ready to answer all your questions and provide valuable information about their institutions. A Senior Tradition: Painted Parking Spots
Hey Seniors! A senior tradition and privilege is to paint your parking spot. A $30 fee (in addition to the purchased parking pass) can be paid online through LINQ Connect. Painting dates are Sept 20th 10am-4pm, Sept 21st 10am-3pm, or Sept 30th 2:30-5:30pm. Payment, contract, and approved design must be completed before you can paint. Contact Mrs. Higdon (thigdon@voyageracademy.net) for details, contract and questions.
