DEAR VIKING FAMILIES,

It was a great week on campus and we only have a couple weeks to go before the long holiday break. Hopefully you saw our message inviting any qualified VA students to take a private drivers ed course during break from Jan 2-6^th at the VA high school.  If you are interested, please email me directly as this course needs at least 10 participants to remain open.

Voyager Academy Elementary School News, Dec. 3, 2017

Dear VAES Families,

This year, we have our special “Giving Tree” in the front office of the elementary school.  On it are tags for families in need.  The tag has information about the child's size, age, and gender.  If you would like to show empathy and generosity to a child in need, please come get a tag and purchase a gift.  Gifts must be turned in wrapped to the elementary school by Monday, December 11th.  The tag has a special label on it you can use to mark who is to receive the gift.

DEAR VAMS FAMILIES,

I cannot believe that we are now in December and in the final weeks of the first semester.  Next week we will administer benchmarks in reading and math.  Once we receive the reports, our teachers will analyze the data to determine the level of learning of each student in order to determine our strong areas and our areas of need.  It’s extremely important for our students to be on time as benchmarks will start immediately after the 8:15 announcements.  If they are not in their class when benchmarks begin, they will have to wait until the benchmarks are completed before going to class.  Please make sure your children are on time – meaning students are in class when the 8:15 bell rings!

****Student athletes are $20 raffle tickets, for a change to win one of two $1,000 gift cards. The raffle will be held on December 12^th during the halftime of the high school varsity boys basketball game. ****
