Voyager Students Practice Chinese in Public
Fifteen VAHS Chinese 2 students got to practice using their Chinese abilities out in public this week, as they completed their Dinner Dialogue Project at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant on Guess Road. Students had to use Chinese to order food and drinks for both themselves and a guest at the restaurant, where the staff had been instructed in advance to only speak Chinese to the students. The students did a great job using terms and phrases they had prepared in advance, in addition to using their skills to adapt to unexpected situations at the restaurant as well. All the students performed wonderfully, with everyone earning A on the project. Congrats to the Chinese 2 students, and a big thanks to the good people at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant on Guess Road for their help on this project, and their amazing service and food!

An Important Message About Student Health
As you may or may not be aware, “vaping” and/or "juuling"(the use of E-cigarettes) has become an unhealthy trend among children and young adults, from middle through high school nationwide.  As the safety and health of our students is a top priority at VAHS, all students received a presentation on Feb. 13th about the effects of this unhealthy activity, as well as the Voyager Academy consequences.

To see the presentation that the students received, please click here.  Parents/guardians are encouraged to reinforce this very important message at home.

As always, thank you so much for your continued support.
