Voyager Academy Middle School News, Aug. 25, 2019

Dear VAMS Families,

What a great week! The Ribbon Cutting for the Athletic Field was Monday and what an awesome event.  Thanks to all of you who were able to attend! It was wonderful to see such great support from the Voyager Community!

Thanks to all of you who attended our Curriculum Nights!  I know coming to school after work is hard as you are trying to get home for dinner and homework.  We truly appreciated you taking time to join us! We are fortunate to have your children and you!

To all parents from Mrs. Dana King:
Hello Voyager Families.
Welcome back to school.  Our first Teacher Luncheon of the year will be September 17th.  Please review the sign-up and help if you are able.  We appreciate anything you can contribute (paper goods, food, time, etc).  This first sign up has alot of information, please read the first page thoroughly.  We have included a sign-up for teacher lunch coverage at the bottom of the page.  We are also looking for more volunteers, if you are interested in being a part of the Hospitality Committee for the Middle school, please contact Dana King (drking2@yahoo.com) or Kaylyn Fernandez (kaylynfernandez@hotmail.com).
Thank you in advance.  We look forward to another great year.

I’m sorry to have to talk about tardies this early in the school year but we are having WAY TOO MANY tardies.  Tardy means you child is  NOT in the classroom when the 8:15 bell rings.
Our morning car line is running very smoothly so there is really no reason for tardies.  It may mean leaving home 5 minutes earlier. We need your help as our students need to be here when the day begins.  Thank you!

Remember, if you are ONLY picking up a middle school student, please do not arrive before 3:15.  Remember you come in the entrance off Ben Franklin and loop around the pond.
It is VERY important for you to have your blue card displayed in the front window of your car in order for us to quickly key in the student’s/students’ number.  If you do not have a blue card and/or number, please email me.

We’ve had lots of success with our GoPlaySave fundraiser.  Thanks to those of you who either paid for the book or returned the book.  We lose some of our profit when books are not returned. So---I need you to send a check or money or pay online to no later than Monday.  If you do not want to purchase the book then I need you to send back the book. We have 100% participate in Mr. Eisenson’s room, Mrs. Graham’s room, Mrs. Higdon’s room and Mrs. Jaeger’s room.  100% means books were paid for or books were returned! Congratulations to the 4 classes with 100%!!!!!

Thanks to all of you who signed up to receive my REMIND texts.  If you have not signed up the receive a Remind text, please do so and use your child’s grade level code(s).
