Hello Middle School Parents,
I am sure each of you are extremely busy but I hope you were able to participate in the survey that was part of Mrs. Schollmeyer’s newsletter last weekend. There was a survey for parents regarding screen time, schedules and a 4 day week with a day for students to catch up on work or for teachers to work with a student or small group. If you have not completed the survey, please take time to voice your opinion.
I enjoy popping in zoom meetings but it is not the same as popping in the classrooms Most of our students are working hard to get work completed and turned in. They are also participating in class whether it is a question/answer conversation, an experiment or lab, completing research and sharing their findings. We do have a few students who are not participating, who are eating during class time, and who are being disruptive by leaving the session and re-entering.
Here are some tips to help you and your children (our students) have positive experiences during our remote learning days. Look for more tips next week.
Tips for Parents:
Set a schedule for your children, our students. .
Make sure students are prepared for class.
Make sure students are not wearing items that are distracting to others.
Stay in touch with teachers.
Share your expectations for your children during the learning process.
Simple Suggestions for Successful Remote Learning for our Students:
Students should be on time to class.
Once in class, students need to remain/stay in class.
Turn on your camera so the teacher can see the student’s face.
Stay focused and engaged in the learning process.
Students need to exercise and stretch during breaks.
Important Dates:
