Voyager Basketball Advances to Round 4 of State Playoffs

The Voyager basketball team advanced to the fourth round of the NCHSAA State Playoffs with a 73-53 win over Wake Prep Academy on Tuesday night.  The Vikings led just 14-10 after the first quarter, but outscored Wake Prep 21-7 in the second quarter to take control of the game.  It was the final home game for Voyager's seven seniors

Voyager's next opponent will is Washington County High School in Plymouth, NC.  Game time is 6:00 PM

Join Us for PTSO’s March Spirit Event

Mark your calendars! The PTSO’s March Spirit Event is happening on Monday, March 31, from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Localicious Caribbean Ice Cream on N Duke Street (located in the shopping center behind/between Starbucks and Cookout).

We’ve planned this event for March 31 because it’s a special day—it’s both an early release day and the High School’s Project Exhibition Day! It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate students’ hard work and enjoy a sweet treat while supporting our school.

Stop by, grab some delicious ice cream, and show your school spirit. A portion of sales will go toward supporting PTSO initiatives!

NHS Street Clean-Up

VAHS NHS members had another successful afternoon cleaning up, Ben Franklin Blvd.

Members recently adopted the road, and will be holding cleaning sessions every other week through the semester.

Second Annual Reverse College/Career Fair

Juniors and Seniors are in for a treat on Wednesday 3/12/25 as they attend the Second Annual Reverse College/Career Session during second period. Hosted by the Viking Leadership class, VAHS Alumni will be speaking to students about their experiences in college and/or the workforce. Juniors and Seniors have been asked to submit questions in advance via separate google forms that were emailed to them by Ms. O'Kane.

Cap and Gown Delivery and Class Ring Orders

Representatives from HerffJones will be on campus on Monday March 17, 2025 to distribute graduation items to seniors during Advisory and Lunch. They are also on site for Juniors who would like to order 2026 class rings. Juniors will be receiving ring ordering packets during Advisory on Monday March 3, 2025.  Additional ordering information is included below.

NC School of Science & Math Courses Offered 

North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics Connect program provides distance education courses to schools across the state. Voyager Academy HS is a participating partner school. Students in grades 9-12 take tuition-free, honors-level, and AP courses in STEM and humanities from NCSSM via interactive video conferencing. Hey Seniors: The 2025–26 FAFSA Form Is Now Available

The 2025–26 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form is now available for all seniors and contributors. Seniors planning to attend college next year and their parent(s)/guardian(s) need to complete the form to apply for financial aid for college, career school.
