On a more serious note, we want to share with you a growing concern of many children who have begun “vaping”. As most parents now by now, this is another form of smoking tobacco and other drugs. The vape pens have become more and more common and most importantly, they also have changed in style which helps children of all ages hide this new habit. Please see the article in the link attached here about the growing use of these products across the state and nation. It is our first priority to keep all students safe, and to help our parents along the way. If you are concerned about your child for any reason please feel free to reach out to any of our administrators or counselors. We also want you to know that we take all drug usage very seriously and will consequence any student accordingly. We are doing to our students’ safety and want to partner with you, parents to help! https://www.smore.com/td0s1
I hope everyone was able to stop by our campus this weekend and pick up a munch needed mattress to support our show choir!
We have a lot of events coming up sponsored by the PTO in support of our teachers appreciation week as well as performing arts events and sports competitions. Make sure you always check out our website updated often for calendar events and happenings.
It is so great to see many of you in Viking colors every Friday! Keep up that new spirit. Winners of the spirit awards will be announced in the next newsletter.
Regards,
Jennifer Lucas, M. ED
