Dear Viking Families,
It was another busy but productive week on campus and we are all ready for Spring Break! This is our last break until the end of the school year which is approaching quickly! We hope to see a ton of more field work completed upon our return and will share progress pictures when we can.
We would like to introduce to you our 2019 Teacher of the Year and Young Educator of the Year who will be celebrated with a lovely dinner banquet in a few weeks. Please join me in celebrating Ms. Christina Vurnakes as the Outstanding Young Educator of the Year and Ms. Jody Schulze as our new Teacher of the Year! These ladies bring their A game to school every day and we are so lucky and proud to have them on our campus. Thank you for all you do, ladies!
As many of you have been following our teacher of the year campaigns we have a few updates. This Friday Mr. Doug Price was celebrated at the annual TOY luncheon in Umstead along wit h8 other Regional TOY reps. Although a different candidate was selected for the NC State Teacher of the Year, we thank Doug for representing us well in the State campaign.
Our board of directors is looking for a few great members to join to the board. The application is attached to this newsletter and available on our website. We are looking for family and community based members so please share this information with friends and family. If you or someone you know is interested in serving on our board please complete the application attached.
