Dear Voyager Community,
We were thrilled to welcome our elementary students back to campus this week. Luckily the dark clouds only brought a few rain drops during carline on Monday. Our students and staff were so excited to see one another this week in person. What a gift to see all those smiling faces learning and growing together. And we are extra proud of our resilient kindergarten students that came to school with backpacks as big as they are without shedding a tear on their first day of school in person. Pictured below is a peak at car line in action and our students settling into their daily routine in class.
Voyager elementary staff were well prepared and all procedures have been working well. Students have been seen working hard, connecting with friends, and maintaining their social distancing. It was wonderful to hear the laughter, games, and giggles when they were outside on the playground at lunchtime. It was great to have so many high school students on campus this week as well. Our sophomores were on campus to take the Pre ACT as they begin the college planning process. The Middle School Team had an amazing Club Hub information session and many middle schoolers were eager to sign up and participate in the opportunity to join new clubs, make new friends, and help others.
Additionally, the Voyager lottery for the 21-22 school year was held on Friday via zoom. We received 1,726 applications through the School Mint online system for K-12 grade. The lottery was run by Charter Success Partners by grade level and results were sent to all families through their School Mint account. Additional offers will be extended to applicants on the wait list as seats become available.
The chart outlining the timing of the hybrid reopening by school is provided below in the newsletter again for your reference. We have also made one additional calendar change to accommodate the staff vaccinations without causing last minute changes to plans for families. Voyager has scheduled asynchronous remote learning days on March 25 and 26 so that we are able to provide ample notice for families and continuous learning for our students. Our Operations Manager has also been busy planning the school lunch program and before and after care program to support our families as well. Additional details about ordering lunch from Chick Fil A and K&W through Charter Pay are outlined below. Enjoy the delicious lunch options at Voyager!
As you prepare for returning to learning in person, please make sure you have set up your Greenlight Ed account. Greenlight will be used for our health screening pass and speed the car line process. Please know that we are all here to support your child grow, learn, and find their passion. Feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher, building administrator, or student support if we can assist your family in any way. Please review the upcoming dates and information below for additional resources.
It is so nice to see the sun shine again and enjoy the warmer weather. Have a wonderful weekend with your family!
All the best,

We have partnered with Duke and Greenlight Ed to complete our daily health screening to ensure our school. Please set up your Greenlight account today and complete the survey daily for each child even while your children are learning remotely. We will use this data and input to ensure we are ready for reopening safely. The links to set up your account are below.
ACTION NEEDED: Directions and links to set up your Greenlight Account
Setting up your account is simple. Select the link below and enter the email address you use to receive Voyager newsletters. Families with multiple children can select any school their children attend. Once your account is set up you will see all of your children associated with your account and be able to complete the daily health screening for each of them. After you complete your first survey you will see the Greenlight pass cleared indication. Stay healthy and safe – Practice the 3 W’s
Staying current on all of the health metrics and data is also part of our ongoing process. As we work together to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, please remind your children about the importance of the 3 W’s (Wear, Wait, & Wash). Wear a mask, practice social distancing by waiting and maintaining a 6-foot space between others, and wash hands frequently to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. Outlined below are some helpful links and resources if you are interested in learning more about the latest data and recommendations.
