Welcome Back

It’s great to all be back together in person! It’s been a smooth opening this month, especially considering it’s been two years since we’ve opened in person.

Just a quick reminder to reiterate to your Voyager Viking that s/he should continue to wear a mask in the building and socially distance as much as possible, so that the school will be as infection free as possible.

Also, we appreciate your patience with carline! As happens every year, it settles into a good routine after a week/week and a half.

Open House for 11th and 12th Graders Aug. 16, at 6:00pm

Just a reminder that VAHS Open House, for grades 11 and 12 only, takes place on the evening of August 16, from 6:00pm to 7:15pm (grades 9 and 10 had their Open House on Aug. 4). This is your chance to meet your VAHS student’s teachers, and get some important information about his/her classes, as you walk through an abbreviated schedule (click here for the schedule).

We look forward to seeing everyone on Aug. 16!

What to Do if Your Child Has Been Exposed to, or Tests Positive for COVID

  • Contact the principal or assistant principal and your child's teacher
  • The principal or the school nurse will contact the child’s family and talk you through the quarantine/isolation process.
  • Students may still work from home during this  period.  The teacher will provide assignments for the student and the parent will need to complete a daily on-line attendance.

Help Our Biology Books Find Their Way Home

Doing some spring cleaning...if you happen to find a biology text book under your child's bed we would love to take that off your hands. Please send it in with your student to the front office or have them drop it by room C115 so we can get them back on the shelf with all their friends!
Thanks for your help,

-The Science Department

Join the High School Club Ultimate Frisbee Team

The High School is starting a Club Ultimate Frisbee Team this year! The season runs from now through early November, and no experience is required--all are welcome, and anyone can come and learn to play! The team is Co-ed, so both young men and young ladies are welcome to attend. The team will practice twice a week after school, and once on Saturdays, and will compete against a number of other Club High School teams in our area, including Jordan, Riverside, Durham Academy, East Chapel Hill, and more! Email VoyagerAcademyUltimate@gmail.com for more information.
