NEWS FROM ELEMENTARY: We hope that you and your family have had a wonderful week of learning. This is our LAST week of school for the 2021-2022 year. Thank you for your encouragement, support and partnership. Our Viking Scholars have accomplished much because our our partnership. The following announcements will be helpful for you and your family for the week of May 23-25
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL IS WEDNESDAY MAY 25: The last day of school for Voyager Academy is Wednesday, May 25. The elementary school dismisses at 11:15 am. There is NO AFTERCARE PROVIDED ON THIS DATE!
3rd GRADE FIELD TRIP: Our 3rd grade students will be going on their last elementary field trip on Tuesday, May 124th. They will be traveling to Duke Park. If you have any questions about this trip, please contact your child’s teacher.
END OF THE YEAR TEACHER GIFTS: The Square link for END OF YEAR Teacher/Staff gift donations is now live. This is a great and easy way for Voyager families to honor their child’s teachers. Please help the PTO get the word out to all Voyager families. We are using Square this time and it should be a lot more user friendly than what we had at Christmas. EOG DATA: 3rd grade EOG data will be shared with all 3rd grade families as soon as all results are received.
OPEN HOUSE: Mark Your calendar now for 2022-2023 Open House. It will be held on August 5, 2022. Detailed time announcement will be sent out later this summer.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL: The first day of school for the 2022-2023 school year will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
FAIRY TALE BALL: The first grade students had an amazing time at the Fairy Tale Ball. Isn’t it awesome to be in the 1st grade at Voyager Academy?
REPORT CARDS: Report cards will be sent home with each student on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
THIRD GRADERS TOUR MIDDLE SCHOOL: Our current 3rd graders are so excited about moving into the middle school building for 4th grade. The students will be touring the school, meeting the teachers and talking with current 4th graders on Monday, May 23, 2022.
MULTIPLICATION DRILL: Mr. Manning and Mrs. Weiland will be challenging all 3rd grade students to the second round of our Multiplication Battle on May 23. Encourage your students to practice, practice, practice. Who will be the King of Multiplication?
PROJECT CELEBRATIONS HAVE BEEN AMAZING: It has been a wonderful week for students to share their knowledge through Project Celebrations. 1st grade, 2nd grade and 3rd grade all hosted celebrations this week. 1st Grade taught us all about FAIRY TALES. 2nd Grade taught us all about INSECTS and 3rd grade provided us with amazing facts about the SOLAR SYSTEM. Our kindergarten students will be sharing their last PBL project on Tuesday, May 24. They will help us discover how things change over time!
VOYAGER SUMMER CAMP:
Voyager Academy is offering 4 fabulous weeks of summer camp for Rising 1st – 8th graders. Camp begins Monday, June 6, 2022 and will end Thursday, June 30, 2022. Camp hours are Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 4:30 pm. Each week has its own theme incorporated into crafts, activities, and games. Campers will also go on weekly field trips, swim (pending pool availability due to COVID) or water play and participate in STEM activities.
We are also offering "Specialty Camps" in Basketball, LEGO Robotics and Ukulele/Guitar.. The camp dates and details for these special sessions can be found on the camp webpage. Registration for Summer Camp is live on the Titan Family portal. You can quickly view all camp sessions by changing the "Category" in the school store to "Summer Camp." Complete the Summer Camp Registration Form for each child at the attached link. The $30 registration fee will be applied to your account after registration is complete. Registration is not complete until camp registration from, registration fee and session payment is made in Titan or by Check/Money Order. Space is limited and on a first come first served basis. There will be no waitlist for summer camp registration. The last day to register is April 30th, if space is still available.
