Last week parent, and Duke cardiac nurse, Leigh Pederson has been working with our school over the year to have Voyager certified as a Heart Safe School. I’m proud to share that Voyager is the first school in Durham to receive the Heart Safe School distinction from Project ADAM!
Voyager Academy was awarded the Heart Safe School distinction on January 4th from Project ADAM and affiliate partner Duke Children’s Pediatric and Congenital Heart Center. Voyager has been working diligently with the team at Duke Children’s and Project ADAM over the past year to design and implement CPR and AED training for teachers, coaches and staff, as well as developing emergency action plan preparedness for sudden cardiac arrest. A school with Project ADAM Heart Safe School distinction has successfully implemented a quality sudden cardiac arrest program of awareness, training, and effective emergency response in an effort to promote a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
A huge thank you to our amazing Voyager teachers, staff, and administrators that participated in our certification practice drill on January 4, 2023. And a special shout out to our staff that obtained or renewed their AED/CPR certifications. Each building now has at least 10 teachers or staff members trained and certified to perform CPR and ALL of our in-season sports coaches hold active CPR certifications! Special thanks to Chelsea Skoff, school nurse, and Voyager parent and Duke nurse, Leigh Pederson, as well as Leslie Pace, Danielle Sturkey, and Dr. Salim Idriss at Duke Children’s for your support and partnership!

The Titan Family Portal and LINQ Online Ordering system work together like a checking/ debit card account. All student lunch accounts must be preloaded with funds for ordering. Parents then order lunches for students based on the funds availability in their Titan account. Families who have a negative balance on the account will no longer be permitted to order lunch online. Please be sure to send your student(s) to school with lunch if no meal was ordered. If your student's lunch account currently has a negative balance, we please ask that you pay this balance as soon as possible by either form of payment:
Online at https://family.titank12.com There is a $2.80 flat fee charged by the bank per deposit online. (Example: $100 deposit + $2.80 fee = $102.80)
A check/ money order made payable to Voyager Academy. Please include your child's name and id# on the memo line. You can also use this pre-printed form.
Lunch menus are published for the month of October. The lunch ordering rule is a week in advance. If you need assistance email foodnutritionservices@voyageracademy.net.
