Voyager Academy Middle School News, Jan. 27, 2023

Hi Middle School Families,

Can you believe January is almost over?

It has been a very busy week.  I am so very proud of our students as we had Reading, Math, and 5th, 8th Science Check Ins.  According to our students, the check ins were not as long and not as difficult.  I have not seen the results as of yet but will review as soon as teachers send them to me.

I want to THANK our parents for getting students to school on time.  Getting to school on time puts the students in a great mood to start the day. Let’s get our students on time every day.

I also appreciate you reminding students to bring their personal computer to school.  That also helped us have enough computers/chromebooks for the students.

CAR LINE REMINDER:  I want to remind everyone that it is very important to strive to follow all car line procedures so that we keep everyone safe.  If we all would just follow procedures, car line would run even smoother and more quickly.  Recently, we have had an issue with cars not waiting in the car line and trying to get back in the line at the road between the elementary school and the high school.  We have now placed our SRO at this location to help remind everyone of the importance of staying in line and waiting their turn.  We also have parents who are being rude to each other in hopes to move one position.  PLEASE be kind to each other!!!!!

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK:  The PTSO of Voyager will be hosting TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK February 6–10.  Thank you to all Voyager families for the incredible love you show to our staff.  We are honored to partner with you.

PROSPECTIVE FAMILY MEETING:  Voyager Academy will be hosting a VIRTUAL prospective family meeting on February 1 at 5:00 pm.  Spread the word to your family and friends who are considering trying to attend Voyager Academy.  The link to attend the meeting has been placed on the front page of the Voyager website.

MONDAY’S SCHEDULE:  Each and every Monday, Voyager will dismiss students at 1:15 pm.  Since our staff attend meetings every Monday, it is imperative that students are picked up on time.

The Titan Family Portal and LINQ Online Ordering system work together like a checking/ debit card account.  All student lunch accounts must be preloaded with funds for ordering.  Parents then order lunches for students based on the funds availability in their Titan account. Families who have a negative balance on the account will no longer be permitted to order lunch online. Please be sure to send your student(s) to school with lunch if no meal was ordered. If your student's lunch account currently has a negative balance, we please ask that you pay this balance as soon as possible by either form of payment:

Online at  https://family.titank12.com  There is a $2.80 flat fee charged by the bank per deposit online. (Example: $100 deposit + $2.80 fee = $102.80)

A check/ money order made payable to Voyager Academy. Please include your child's name and id# on the memo line. You can also use this pre-printed form.

Lunch menus are published for the month of October. The lunch ordering rule is a week in advance. If you need assistance email foodnutritionservices@voyageracademy.net.
