Dear VAMS Families,
Wow, 15 more days of school and lots to do!
8th Grade Parents-
An orientation for rising 9th graders will be held on Wednesday, May 9th at 6:30 pm in the High School Gym. Come and hear about the new and exciting orientation plan! If you have questions, please contact Mr. Mills at the high school. His email is jmills@voyageracademy.net.
EOG Testing
Yes, we will be in school on May 16. In fact, students in grades 4-8 will take the reading EOG on Wednesday, May 16. On Thursday, May 17, grades 4-8 will take the math EOG. On Tuesday, May 22, students in grades 5 and 8 will take their science EOG and students in grades 6 and 7 will take a science Final Exam. Finally on Wednesday, May 23, students in grades 5 – 8 will take a social studies Final Exam.
Students need to be on time as we will start promptly at 8:30 and all students need to be in their class at 8:15. Once the teacher begins reading directions students may not enter late nor leave early.
EOG Testing and Proctors are needed!!!!
We need about 40 proctors on May 16 and 40 proctors on May 17. If you are available to spend the morning with us, please email me as soon as possible. We will also need about 15 proctors on May 22. We certainly appreciate any help you can give us. Thanks to those of you who responded to the request that I email earlier this week. My email is gjohnson@voyageracademy.net or lhowell@voyageracademy.net.
Yearbooks
Yearbooks have arrived and been distributed! Many have asked if we have extras and we do! If you would like to purchase a yearbook for your child, please send $35 in cash or check (payable to Voyager Academy) to Ms. Pam. She will gladly make sure your child have a yearbook. Thanks!
