Welcome Back!

We begin with a heartfelt thank you to the entire Voyager Academy community for your support and commitment to ensuring that the education of our students is not interrupted by the COVID pandemic. As we visit our online classes, we see that students are engaged, and teachers are as dynamic as ever with their lessons.  And of course, the key to making this work is attendance. Please be sure that students are attending their online classes and participating in class. Students are also encouraged to take advantage of the 20-minute “Live Office Hours” session after each class.  For a view of our daily schedule please click here: https://www.voyageracademy.net/vahscalendarsandschedules/.  Wishing all a successful academic year!

Did you know animals do this.....

The awesome Zoology zookeepers are hard at work this week after learning all about animal adaptations. After Mrs. Huntington triumphantly creating “conference rooms” in Zoom and not losing anyone we were able to get to work exploring our favorite animals that have the adaptation we were assigned. We are excited to share our findings with our fellow keepers!

Honors Bio-Molecules

We are stacking monosaccharides and making carbohydrates in biology honors this week as we take a fun filled trip through the world of biomolecules. The students are working on their own unique way of presenting what they learned to the class through an alternative way of assessment. They were able to choose from several different projects ideas to present the information learned in the lesson and each was presented to the class.

AP Home Run!

Congratulations to the students of AP Human Geography!  You all did an outstanding job on the AP Exam.  (We just got our results in July.)  Your hard work and dedication paid off!  I am so proud of you all!  Great work!

The Freshman/New Student Orientation Challenge 2020!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Orientation Challenge!  There were a lot of you and so we are still tabulating scores.  We hope to have that done by the end of the month and prizes will be awarded.  Thanks also to Ren and Dallas for helping to tabulate the results.  Amazing job to several parents who not only participated in their children's videos, but also did Run and Yell!  I am sure those memories will be dinnertime stories for years to come!
