From the Managing Director, Sept. 30, 2017

Hello Viking Families!

We hope you are having a nice weekend and getting excited to begin another great week on campus.  I hope that many of you had the opportunity to meet with teachers on Friday and have good conversations about your child’s progress. Our goal is to truly partner with parents to make our students as successful as possible. If you haven’t had the opportunity to meet with teachers and you feel like you need to please just reach out to their homebase or advisory teacher. More elementary conference dates are coming based on their trimester.

Check out the pictures from the garden planting in HS Culinary. They were amazing and I’m so proud of our students and Ms. Koerner!

Based on our climate surveys last spring we had some questions or concerns about bullying: what is it really and how do we prevent it? We are working in each building to address all your feedback and our teams and parents have put together some great parent workshops for you below.

SAVE THE DATE! BULLYING talk, plus Meet the Counselors!
Please join us for an informative discussion about BULLYING, plus MEET THE COUNSELORS! Our invited speaker panel will include Ms. Jill O’Kane, Counselor, Grades 9-12; Ms. Tonya Farrish, Counselor, Grades 4-8; Ms. Melissa Meckes, Counselor, Grades K-4; Mr. Scott Tribotte, The Artselor, Grades K-3; and Ms. Monique Daniels, Counselor Intern, Grades 4-12. Our guest speakers will present information about bullying, participate in discussions, share resources, and be available for questions. This is a very timely and relevant topic for the entire Voyager Academy community and we hope you all can join us!
