From the Managing Director's Desk, Feb. 25, 2018

Dear Viking Families,
First let me say thank you to all the families for their patience and support this week as we needed to dismiss the High School mid-day due to a power outage. The power outage was a widespread Duke issue that took 4 hours to resolve and we appreciate your help in safely releasing students!  In this case only the HS needed to be dismissed as they had many classes without any access to natural or other lighting. Please note that all High School students MUST attend school ALL DAY on Monday March 26th to make up for the lost instructional time.  Please make sure all students are prepared to stay at the HS full day until regular dismissal time.

I am so proud of the following Viking Pride Winners!
Scott Tribotte, Elementary Art Teacher and Dakota Peaks, 3rd grade student: Mariah Jackson, 5th grade ELA and Kate Flintom, 8th grade student; Matt Hall, HS Math and Kelsey Gloade and Lama Hazari, HS students

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime.
Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross blood program!
