From the Managing Director's Desk, March 29, 2020

Dear Staff and Families,

Good Morning,

I hope this newlsetter finds you healthy and staying safe. I know this has been a very long few weeks as you likely have heard, it will be even longer.  Under the new orders, all schools are closed through at lest May 15th. We are committed to providing an ongoing, distance learning plan. In the upcoming weeks, our wonderful staff will develop virtual lessons and instruction for students and continue to build upon their skills.

Student Services Newsletter

Dear Vikings,

Our team will deliver weekly information and resources in the Voyager Academy Newsletter and on the Voyager Academy website.

From the Managing Director's Desk, March 21, 2020

Dear Staff and Families,

This has been a long, scary and sometimes frustrating couple of weeks, but I wanted to tell all of you how proud I am of how our entire community has come together to meet these challenges in support of one another. Although we don’t know the duration of this health crisis, nor the impact it may have on our long-term educational program, I do believe that through cooperation, we are all going to be alright.  For me, I could not have helped set up the infrastructure for this plan were it not for our administrators and collective leadership team. With that said, I want to sincerely thank and praise our teachers for pivoting so quickly from what they know to be good teaching and classroom delivery, into the unknown and unchartered waters of distance learning. To our parents I want to say, Congratulations! You made it through the first week of home education and most likely regrouping your entire family dynamics.  At the bottom of this newsletter I am sharing just a few pictures that have been shared with us from happy students, thankful parents and proud teachers. You are all doing great!

Voyager Academy Middle School News, March 15, 2020

Hello Middle School Families,
I can’t say Thank You enough to all of you for the continued support you provide the middle school.  We’ve had many challenges the past couple of months and you continue to be our biggest cheerleaders. We had the weather that was a delayed opening followed by what we thought was going to be a day of school---then the transformers exploded and you had to turn and return home.  We then had some snow that kept us out of school a couple of days. We now have the Coronavirus that has certainly created much uncertainly. For each of the situations, we put students first and you have supported us! The safety of our students and families is certainly a priority.

Hello Middle School Families,
March is here and it certainly came in like a Lion!  Our softball team and baseball team played Friday afternoon.  They had to play Excelsior and the wind! Both teams played well and were very successful.

Good Afternoon Viking Families,

We are closely monitoring news and updates regarding the coronavirus and its potential impact locally. Please refer to the message sent out yesterday related to contact information for state-wide and national updates or alerts. As you are aware, each week, more information is available, and recommendations are changing. To be as proactive as possible, we are taking the following steps to ensure the safety and health of our students, faculty, and staff.  We also heard form a lead representative from our middle school “disease team” at our Board meeting on Thursday and got some great ideas from our students! To that end, we are planning to supply our buildings with additional cleaning and protective products. We are accepting donations from parents for hand sanitizers, bottles of Lysol and paper products. Please feel free to send these items with your child or drop them off at the front desk of your student’s building.  A few items of note:
