From the Managing Director's Desk, Oct. 27, 2019

Dear Viking Families,
We are hoping you all had a wonderful week with Friday’s Fall Festival as a great end to the workweek!  A big thank you to all our PTO members and special volunteers, faculty and families who made this the best one yet! Remember to go on to the main Voyager Academy Facebook page and share your fun pictures!

From the Voyager Academy Board, Oct. 27, 2019

Hi Voyager families,
The board would like to provide you with an update about our managing director search.  After a detailed process in which a subcommittee of the board met with and interviewed four search firms, we hired a search firm, CLCB, out of Charlotte, to assist us.  You can learn more about the firm at https://clcbsearch.com/.  This is the same firm that helped us recruit Jennifer Lucas several years ago, and we believe it is the right firm to help us find our next amazing managing director.

Voyager Academy Athletics

Fall Sports are winding down, but there is much excitement left to come! Both our middle school and high school cross country teams had their conference tournaments this week where all of our runners performed amazingly. It was inspiring to watch our Viking runners out there giving everything they had! We are very proud of them and it was awesome to see the great sportsmanship that you will find at our cross country meets. Our high school team is looking forward to regionals where I know they will do great! Our girls tennis teams have had great seasons and we are very proud of their success as well.  Their hard work on the courts has definitely showed! Soccer and volleyball still have two very important weeks left in their seasons. These last few games/matches will be very important in determining the seeding going into conference tournaments. Make sure that you come out to support our Viking athletes as we still have some home games left!

Dear Viking Families,
We hope you all are enjoying your fall break and this cooler weather! Last week we made some great memories at Voyager campus for Homecoming. Our Mens Soccer team was victorious during their homecoming game, our high school students got to shine for homecoming court in front of a great crowd, and of course our show choir students got to perform in front of their favorite fan group, Vikings of all ages!  After the game, students, staff and families moved back over the high school parking lot to enjoy a Bloc Party and a great time was had by all! Thanks to all the staff and volunteers who made this evening so successful and special. On Friday, the fun continued as we held our first on campus parade that showcased our amazing students and clubs in the high school. Please feel free to share your favorite pictures or videos on our Facebook and Instagram pages.
